The fourth-generation 4A-GE engine was manufactured from 1991 to 1995. It has silver cam addresses with chrome lettering, as a result the nickname "silver top". This engine yet again features a totally new cylinder head which employs 5 valves for each cylinder rather than 4. It utilizes Toyota's Variable Valve Timing (VVT) process within the intake
